Fellowship Recovery Center Becomes Valley Medical Laboratory’s Newest Partner to Offer vTOX®

Founded in 2021 and intaking new clients since 2022, Fellowship Recovery is quickly making a name for itself as one of the area’s premier outpatient treatment centers for mothers and fathers with children in recovery. Initially opened as a small intensive outpatient program (IOP) facility, Fellowship has blossomed into a full-service outpatient treatment center offering a multitude of programs for patients in recovery, and recently opened a second location at 3381 Gorham Ave, St. Louis Park, MN 55426 for parents and children on January 20th.

Daytime group programs are offered Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 12:05pm, followed by lunch on-site in the communal hall. Evening group programs are offered from 5:30 to 9:35pm, with dinner served on-site before-hand, at 5:00pm. Individual sessions are also available right after morning programs or before evening programs for clients seeking one-on-one treatment.

Treatment Center Director Brad Gangnon shared how they are revamping the way they approach program offerings, positioning them now as a peer recovery service:

“We want our clients to be employed, we want our clients to be able to rehabilitate with their families, children and infants. Clients are allowed to attend [group programs] with their mothers and fathers. We want our clients to be able to personalize the programming to yield the best results. Fellowship prides itself on its low relapse stats.”

Fellowship Recovery’s commitment to flexibility and personalized program offerings have now been further enhanced by its partnership with Valley Medical Laboratories in introducing its new viewing-free method of urine drug testing called vTOX®. This revolutionary form of urine drug testing developed by Valley Medical uses DNA fingerprinting to map a client’s one-time cheek-swab sample to all future urine samples. This solution minimizes urine sample tampering and has vastly improved treatment center compliance.

Mr. Gangnon shared that the timeliness of test result turnaround “has been a game changer.” Further, the open lines of communication established with Valley Medical’s clinicians, and the opportunity for its collectors to build a rapport with Fellowship’s clients in a low-pressure environment has also dramatically improved “the vibe.” For clients who are also residents of Fellowship Recovery’s Fellowship House Sober Living Community, viewing-free testing also provides the opportunity for trust to be rebuilt between clients and treatment center staff, improving clients’ sense of autonomy, so they can focus on the pertinent work ahead of them.

Fellowship Recovery is headquartered in Uptown at 1516 West Lake St., Minneapolis, MN, 55408.
