September is Pain Awareness Month at Valley Medical
Did you know that September is Pain Awareness Month? Pain Awareness Month was established by the American Chronic Pain Association (ACPA) in 2001 to raise awareness of chronic pain and those who suffer from it. More than 80 major healthcare and consumer organizations have come together to support the effort.
What can you do to promote Pain Awareness Month? You can:
- Talk with friends and family with chronic pain and its effects
- Like the ACPA on Facebook and encourage your friends to do the same
- Call your local media and ask them if they are doing a story on Pain Awareness Month
- Call your local government and community leaders to let them know about Pain Awareness Month and issues of pain and pain management
- Take care of yourself and your own chronic pain
Here at Valley Medical and Wellness we're recognizing Pain Awareness Month by continuing our comprehensive treatment of chronic pain in our patient base.
